How does Botox® work?

Botox® is a neuromodulators made from botulinum toxin type A. It temporarily relaxes the targeted muscles by interrupting the signals between nerves and muscles. This relaxation softens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines caused by repetitive facial movements.

Does Botox® prevent wrinkles?
Botox® may help prevent the formation of new wrinkles by minimizing the repetitive muscle movements that cause them. It may also stop existing wrinkles from deepening over time.
Will there be any downtime after treatment?
There is little to no downtime following a treatment with Botox®. Most clients can resume their daily activities immediately after the procedure, though we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise or direct pressure on the treated areas for 24 hours.
